ALS about the June 1912 eruption of Mount Katmai and its aftermath. Mattie Pajoman describes the several days of volcanic activity that blanketed the town in ashes, the effects on inhabitants and their crops and livestock, and the government relief efforts. She suggests that she will supply Miss Sanders with ashes that can be sold as souvenirs.
